Since the first production building went up in 1979, Leobendorf near Vienna has been where our products actually come into being. Research, formulation development and manufacturing sit on one site, which means the people who design a formulation are the same people who scale it up and produce it.
Every expansion and every investment on the site has followed one goal: to make technological progress that holds up to scrutiny. Today Leobendorf produces our own portfolio and manufactures for partners under contract, with a growing share of the work going into biologicals.
What this means for a distribution partner
Production inside the EU, short lines between development and manufacturing, and no third party between us and the product you sell. When something needs clarifying at the start of a season, the answer comes from the plant, not from a supplier three steps down the chain.

Protecting sugar beets,

In the world of plant protection, copper-based fungicides have long been a cornerstone of crop defense. RECUDO® is a copper oxychloride fungicide for sugar beet, grape, and apple growers. It offers powerful disease control, making it an excellent tank mix partner for both conventional and organic farming. For growers, RECUDO® means:

UPSIDE® - The New Fungicide for Organic Viticulture
Political pressure and consumer demand for environ-mentally sound and sustainable production are the current focal points of discussion in the agriculture industry. However, there are still few alternatives to chemically synthesized plant protection, particularly in disease control.
Kwizda Agro is trying to fill this gap: as a specialist in the development, registration and marketing of plant protection products, Kwizda Agro is also increasing its focus on plant protection in organic farming, alongside conventional agriculture.
UPSIDE® is one of the first products arising from this development to reach the market. UPSIDE® is based on the active substance ABE-IT 56, which is extracted from yeast cell fragments (Saccharomyces cerevisiae, strain DDSF623).
With its innovative mode of action, UPSIDE® will play a key role in combating downy mildew (Plasmopara viticola) in both organic and integrated viticulture.

KX — KWIZDA XPERIENCE

KX has been available to farmers since 2025 and is being extended market by market.
For a distribution partner, KX is something to put in front of customers that a product catalogue cannot match: a reason for growers to come back between purchases, and a way to show that the recommendation behind a product is built on data.
Choosing the right product is one decision. Building a programme that holds together across a whole season — the right sequence, the right timing, the right intervals — is a much harder one.
KX takes that work into a digital tool. Growers configure spray programmes for viticulture and arable crops, based on our own trial data and adapted to local conditions rather than European averages. Around the programmes, KX offers further data-driven services that support crop protection decisions through the season.
